City Recital Hall, Angel Place
14th September
The ninth annual Sydney city concert was held in
2008 at the City Recital Hall. A packed house enjoyed a marvellously varied
selection of music performed by by the Sydney Male Choir and with piano soloists
James Guan and Su Choung, students at Sydney Conservatorium of
Music High School; Keegan Joyce, well known star of stage musicals and
singing sisters Karen Walmsley & Susan Hart.
Thanks to Elizabeth Ramsay for her photographs.

Central School,
Dunedoo 2 August
Des McEvoy, one of our Second
Tenors, arranged this concert because of his associations with the town. His
wife is a Dunedoo girl and they once owned the Dunedoo Hotel. The concert was
supported by the Dunedoo District Development Group and the Warrumbungle Shire
Council.
We shared the concert with the
local Sing Australia group.

St Brigid's Catholic Church, Dubbo concert 2 August
The concert was the brainchild of
Brian & Mary Semmler who heard the choir sing in Newcastle Cathedral in 2006.
The choir had the privilege of singing for an audience of 900 people. Funds were
raised for the Catholic Church's Centrecare in the Dubbo region.

Bob's Farm, 8 March 2008
Bob & Anne are long time friends of the choir and on the occasion of their 46th
wedding anniversary their children invited us to sing for their party at the
family farm. It was a complete surprise to the happy couple, hence the cloak and
dagger arrival! A wonderful time was had by all with great hospitality,
wonderful food and drink, good music - and a few moving moments.
